TRANSMISSION 06 / CLIENT WORK / PROJECTBRX

Atmosphere first
The site opens on a foggy night scene with a red phone booth. Click the ringing booth and the camera moves in to a payphone with four buttons: download the app, buy the collectible, join the community, or pick up the receiver for the story, told as seven audio chapters with a live waveform and Next, Prev and End Call controls.
Minting the DEX
The collectible is the DEX, a device. The mint flow walks a visitor through connecting a wallet, an eligibility check, checkout and delivery. The sale ran in three phases with a countdown, a 0.079 ETH price, and a raffle reservation that took a deposit and could be refunded for those who didn’t win. Once confirmed, a delivery screen showed the DEX being built with its Screen, Base, Symbols and Frequency traits.
Wallet check and Allow Disk
On the payphone, a Wallet Check looked up a wallet’s allowlist status and let people link Discord. Accepted wallets could download a unique Allow Disk, an illustration of a floppy disk, and share it on Twitter.
Under the hood
I built the frontend in React and TypeScript, with web3-react wallet connection, contract bindings for the DEX, a seven-chapter audio player, an eligibility API, styled-components and localisation.
